TVS Apache is a very popular segment of commuter motorcycles among youngsters. It has been in production since 2006, from when TVS has constantly upgraded its signature variant to keep up with the latest trends. Any Apache bike is its owner’s proud possession. With proper product placement and advertising, Apache bikes have become highly desirable to every Indian youth. TVS Apache 125 is an upcoming model of this lineup, which is, also the lowest variant of Apache.
Before diving into the details of TVS Apache 125, let’s backtrack a little to gain a little perspective on the glorious evolution of Apache in our country. RTR is a commonly mentioned term in the Apache segment, meaning Racing Throttle Response. TVS has been circulating five distinct models of Apache, all of which differ from each other in terms of performance, engine displacement, and overall body dynamics.

Expected Price and Launch Date
Both of these have not yet been confirmed. But after taking an educated and automobile-savvy guess, TVS Apache 125 cc price will fall in the ballpark of 70k INR (ex-showroom price). If so, it will soon take a favorable position among commuter bikes under 1 lakh INR, delivering class, quality, and power while also a notch higher in terms of stylistics than other average motorcycles. Moreover, the TVS Apache 125 launch date is also not finalized. But reading the current market scenario, it will have its facelift in the latter part of 2022.
Engine
TVS Apache 125, as the name suggests, will be implemented with a 125 cc single cylindrical BS-VI compliant engine, mated with 4 stroke gearbox. TVS Apache 125 cc variant will feature electric ignition, with a compression ratio of 9:1. Its fuel injection engine will live up to its predecessors in terms of performance, being able to deliver 12.5 bhp of power. Air cooling will enable the engine to be further in tune with high-speed. Having a 5-speed manual transmission, TVS Apache 125 has become all the more potent and can easily cover long strides of distances in a single stretch.
Performance and Mileage
TVS Apache 125 has a lot to live up to, and superior power and performance top its list of priorities. With significant acceleration, it can gain a peak speed of 110 km/h and maximum torque output of 11 Nm @ 7250 rpm. Additionally, fuel tank capacity is substantial, and with over 60 km/litre of mileage, Apache 125 can take one the distance without many intervals during long journeys. It is also one of the highest mileage-providing rides of the Apache series.
Exterior
TVS Apache 125 will sport a split cradle frame, that will up its game in outlook. It gives off a vibe of being a distant cousin of KTM Duke, owing to the naked body frame. Other bodily measurements are quite similar to that of Apache 160. A wheelbase of 1357 mm, length of 2035 mm, and width and height being 790 mm and 1050 mm. It will feature 17 inches of alloy wheels, with Telescopic Forks suspension in the front and Mono Shock Absorber in the rear wheel. Disc brakes are a standard addition to the front wheel. Drum brakes do a pretty decent job in the rear wheel.
Stylistics
Almost all of the essential body lights (be its tail light, headlights, pass lights, pilot light) are LED, the only exception being the simple bulb-type indicators. TVS Apache 125 will also incorporate a 12V battery, which can come in handy on more than one occasion.
Expected Features and Specs Of TVS Apache 125
It will come with a fully digital instrument cluster, a speedometer, tachometer, odometer, fuel gauge, and trip meter. This diverse and multi-functional display will also contain a clock, low fuel warning indicator, engine temperature, gear position indicator, gear shift light, and service light. Comfort features are also present in the latest iteration of Apache. To name a few, these will be pillion seats, footpegs, grab rails, and an engine start/kill switch. The seat will have a single type layout or a split variant.
Sports bikes in India and the standard commuter bike never really went together, but the Apache lineup has successfully fused these two. TVS Apache 125 has a lot of scope for commercial success, owing to multiple factors working together. If it gathers attention just like Apache’s previous models, the success rate will be far-reaching.
